Personal Development

The truth is, God smiles when you use the gifts that he’s given you. When you’re doing what you were wired and shaped to do, God says, “That’s so cool! I created them to do that! Rick Warren

That is the greatest truth of all time but most people have not realised that. So many people think that it is only when you are doing “spiritual” things that s when you make God happy.

Everything thing you have is given to you for a purpose. If you are not maximizing it to the fullest you find out that you will be unfilled most of your days.

Imagine that a mother prepares food for her child and serves it on a table . The child comes back from school and says to the mum I don’t want to eat your food at the table I prefer to eat the one you kept for the dogs.

Or let’s say a husband buys a car for the wife and instead of her using it she prefers to enter Keke Napep (TRICYCLE)  to work every day .

How do you think the giver of the gift will feel? Of course very unhappy because  the gift was given out of love, expecting nothing in return but for you to use it for your own benefits and its being rejected.

That’s how God feels when you don’t put your gifts to use.

Whatever it is that you can do, do not take it for granted.

Most of the famous people you know today achieved their status because they discovered their gifts and put it to use.

Most people are broke because they have NOT discovered how to put their TALENT to use.

Your talent is your ticket to your dream life. The life of David in the bible is an example. He was known as the shepherd boy who played strings and it took him to the palace.

The simplest clue to discovering your gifts or talent is to look at those things you can do well.

Now your gift is of little value to you if it’s still in the raw state.

Whatever is not watered cannot grow. You need to water your gifts.

What I mean is that you should acquire the skills that can help you improve them. Then keep practicing it that’s how you achieve mastery. As you develop it people will get to know you for a particular thing you do. This is your preparation stage.

Nobody wants to eat an uncooked food. Cooking takes time and you need certain ingredients to make your food sweet before you can serve it for people to eat.

The question you should be asking yourself after you have discovered your gifts/talent is what are the necessary ingredients needed for me to grow what I have.

Find them and add it to your talent when opportunity knocks you will be the first person to receive it because you have prepared yourself.

Are you using your gifts/talent? If No what is stopping you?
