Why Dreams Fail!

Dreaming is free of charge. Any one can dream but not every one will achieve their dreams.

I am not trying to be negative but its a reality I have seen happen over and over again. Take for example when you were little you had dreams that you looked forward to but not all of them is actualized today. Most of it have changed and some you have forgotten. Just like me I can remember I wanted to do a lot of things when I grew up ranging from becoming a doctor, flying a plane, climbing mountains etc.

Here are some of the reasons why we don’t achieve our dreams.

There is no bearing to your dream. Its not well defined. Some folks will say I want to start a business but there is no clue to what type or requirement for the business they want to start. In other words you lack clarity of your dreams. This is why you are stuck running around in circles.

Well looking at the positive side you know you want to start a business sit down and properly define what you want.

Our environment influences us a lot. When I was in secondary school I opted for the pure science classes even though I was more inclined to arts and social science classes because the perceived knowledge around me was that science students are smarter and also my father and elder brother were all science inclined.

You can’t be dreaming to be a musician and all your friends you always hang out with  are computer geeks. You will end up becoming passionate about computers just like them.

Like minds corrupt each other in a good way.

Look for people with similar dreams cause they will help to keep your dreams alive.

Nothing can kill your dreams so fast like self doubt. One of the things that I saw in classrooms when I was in full time teaching is a lot of self doubt from students who are highly talented. They don’t even know what they have. They just follow the crowd and engage in malpractice during exams not because they are not intelligent but because they don’t have confidence in themselves.

Most times self doubt arise from the people around us who continually put us down especially as seen in abusive homes. Growing up in an environment where you were not allowed to express your self. This is not your fault.

What people say or think about you does not define you or your future.

If you doubt yourself how can others believe in you. Nothing is impossible. Just know that what ever you set your mind on you can achieve it. Don’t let naysayers determine what you become. Be your own number 1 fan. After all no one is as unique as you are in the whole world.

Yes! Some people call it procrastination. You are too tired to get some work done but you idle away your time engaging in fruitless activities. I don’t want to mention them cause you already know them. When probably you don’t move forward you say your enemies are responsible for your failure and prayer houses will become your next stop.

There is no food for a lazy. Even the ants know this. God will bless the works of your hand. Don’t expect to reap where you did not sow. One thing about laziness is when you see others succeeding doing what you dream of you become envious. You forget that while you were sleeping they were burning the midnight candle working on their dreams.

Planning will eat your time but its necessary for you to succeed. What do you want. PLAN IT. Know what is required, the resources and skills you will need, the steps involved to get to your dream. Miracles happen for those who are prepared.

Success and failure lies in your hands. You build your dreams. Avoid these pitfalls in your journey.

Nothing is impossible.
