In my private moments I do dream of having a magic wand that I can wave over the tasks I need to accomplish and it will magically get done but unfortunately I am not Harry Potter.
The truth is that when you think about your dreams you don’t want to procrastinate it. You wish to do the needful but the reverse is the case.
We don’t just procrastinate there are reasons behind why you avoid and postpone those tasks to be done.
If you can identify them you will be able to find your solution.
One reason that might be the cause of your procrastination is LACK OF CONFIDENCE AND SKILL.
The voice in your head tells you that you are not good enough and you have never done this before so you avoid it and push it to another day.
Lets say you dream to be a writer but that voice in your head tells you that if you put your work out there people will realize that you are just a fluke.
You are procrastinating because you don’t have confidence in your abilities.
Or you have a dream to start a business and you say to yourself I have not done this before so I won’t do well in it.
To get out of your procrastination zone you need to change your mental message.
Every professional you see today started out as an amateur. Believe that you have what it takes to do this because as long as that dream is in your heart you can achieve it.
Acquiring a skill in your area of interest will help to boost your confidence and equip you to take action. There is a lot of free courses online that can give you the knowledge you need to start.
Don’t wait for perfect conditions. Start and own your mistakes and you will learn from it and get better.
